At 12 weeks gestation, Boston mother to be J Morton was told there was a problem with her baby’s heart and that she would miscarry. She was heart broken. As Ms Morton explained to Love What Matters facebook page, despite her baby’s heart beginning to beat slower and slower, Ms Morton’s unborn daughter hung on week by week.
Ms Morton explained “With each new appointment seemed to come another diagnosis, another heartbreak and a waterfall of tears”.
Doctors told her was told “She's going to be still born, Save yourself the pain”.
However Ms Morton refused to give up, as did her baby. “We continued to celebrate our baby's life, no matter what odds were against her. We had a reveal party, a baby shower and even made a beautiful nursery”.
Despite a heart rate of 40-50, Ms. Morton’s “baby girl, fought her way to 37 weeks!” and Clara Ray was delivered via C Section on June 14th and taken straight to Boston Children’s Hospital.
“She is a Miracle.” Ms Morton wrote.
“This is her seeing her first snow fall. She absolutely loved it.”
“I can't explain the emotions we felt, as we watched that smile come across her face.”
